This article tells more about the history of placentophagy than most I have come across. It makes for some good reading and isn't too incredibly long. Check it out...

Would You Turn Your Placenta Into A Teddy Bear?

So, I just heard of a new bizarre concept for parents who want to honor the placenta, but not necessarily ingest it.

You can turn your placenta into a teddy bear!

Designer Alex Green has designed a teddy bear out of the placenta and even sells a do it yourself kit that allows the placenta to be made into a teddy bear.

The teddy bear is not made for cuddling, but instead it's purpose is to celebrate the unity between the mother, baby, and placenta.

It's a little weird right? Would you want a teddy bear keepsake of your placenta? Share you thoughts.
